GetVantage Launches $12M Fund for Women-Led Businesses

💰 GetVantage has launched the Rise-Up fund, with an initial corpus of INR 100 Cr, to support over 400 women-led businesses within the next year.

🚀 This fund will be deployed through GetVantage’s NBFC GetGrowth Capital, along with other NBFCs and AIFs.

👩‍💼 Over 40% of GetVantage’s business portfolio, consisting of more than 800 businesses, is led by women entrepreneurs.

🌐 GetVantage, founded in 2020, is a cashflow-based financing platform providing working capital solutions for various sectors, including B2B SaaS, eCommerce, D2C, ed-tech, and cloud kitchens.

🔍 Despite women-founded businesses making up only 18% of the Indian startup landscape, the country has produced 17 unicorn startups with at least one female founder, such as Nykaa and Mamaearth.

📈 The Rise-Up fund launch coincides with International Women’s Day, as VC firms and startups in India are creating women-focused funds to support women entrepreneurs.

💼 Mumbai-based Colossa Ventures recently closed its maiden women-focused fund at INR 100 Cr, reflecting the trend of increasing investment focus on women-led startups.

💸 In 2023, women-led early stage startups in India raised the lowest funding at just over $56 Mn, while growth and late stage businesses secured $198 Mn and $189 Mn, respectively.
